Martin Luther King
marker on paper, 9x12 in.
by Yvonne Ham
I did
this caricature in honor of Martin Luther King Day, January 18, 2016.
Martin Luther King was born January 15,1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was
a civil rights leader who supported non violence. He was a Baptist
minister who lead the Montgomery Bus Boycott and later the March on
Washington where he gave his famous "I Have A Dream Speech" in 1963. He
received the Noble Peace Prize in 1963 for speaking against racial
inequality. Martin Luther King fought for racial equality until he was
assassinated on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee.
I thank
Mr. King for all his lifelong struggles to bring justice and equality to
the African American and continue to support equality for all
races.
I hope you enjoyed this caricature.
